About Flange Management

Flange Management B.V. is an independent engineering company based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. We focus on flange joint engineering, verification, calculation review and documentation for critical bolted joints in industrial installations.

We support asset owners, project engineers, mechanical engineers, integrity engineers, contractors, maintenance teams and inspection teams that need clear, traceable and defensible flange joint documentation.

Our work covers single flange joints, project scopes, shutdowns, turnarounds, QA packages and plant-wide flange integrity programs.

What we do

Flange joints are critical points in industrial systems. When assumptions, calculations or assembly requirements are unclear, the risk of leakage, inspection findings and operational uncertainty increases.

Flange Management helps clients create structured engineering evidence for flange joints. This can include flange joint calculations, verification, calculation review, input checks, project documentation, exception reporting and support for maintenance, turnaround and inspection files.

We work with selected standards, materials, gasket data, bolt properties, friction assumptions and operating conditions. Our focus is to make the engineering basis visible, reviewable and easier to defend.

FlangeUp®

FlangeUp® is our digital workflow for flange calculation intake and documentation.

For one flange joint, FlangeUp® provides a fast route to a Free Basic Report and, where required, a single engineer-reviewed Calculation Report.

For larger scopes, FlangeUp® can be used as a digital entry point for project calculation packages, flange lists, shutdown scopes, turnaround dossiers and QA documentation.

This makes flange joint data easier to submit, check, calculate, document and share.

Practical engineering tools

In addition to calculation review and documentation workflows, Flange Management develops practical inspection and measurement tools for flange joint integrity.

This includes Thread Elongation Gauges for checking permanent deformation in bolt threads.

Our approach

We believe flange engineering should be clear, traceable and practical.

We do not only calculate values. We help document the selected input, calculation basis, assumptions, review status and final output.

That documentation matters when flange joints are reviewed during maintenance, inspection, project handover, QA review or incident investigation.

Who we support

We support industrial clients and engineering teams working in refineries, petrochemical plants, gas processing, LNG, power generation, utilities and other critical mechanical systems.

Our work is relevant for maintenance projects, turnaround scopes, engineering review, inspection review and long-term plant records.

Standards and compliance

Our calculations and review processes are based on the selected flange standard, applicable calculation data and relevant engineering methodology.

Depending on the scope and available input data, our work can support methods and standards such as ASME PCC-1: 2022, EN 1591-1:2024 and ASME VIII Div.1 Appendix 2: 2025.

Where project requirements apply, assumptions, deviations and input issues can be documented for review.

Our aim

Our aim is to help clients move from scattered calculation data to clear, structured flange joint documentation.

Whether the question comes during maintenance, inspection, project handover or incident review, the goal is the same: make the engineering basis visible, traceable and easier to defend.
